Prima di diventare la Regina del Pop, Madonna era una musicista sconosciuta a New York, che faceva parte di un gruppo pop degli anni ’80 chiamato “Breakfast Club”.

Un imminente docudrama intitolato, Madonna e The Breakfast Club, seguirà la vita di una Madonna pre-fama prima che diventasse la leggenda del pop che è oggi.

Il film inizia con Madonna nei suoi primi anni come batterista, chitarrista, tastierista e cantautrice per il Breakfast Club. Aveva formato il gruppo nel 1979 con Dan Gilroy, che frequentava in quel periodo. Mentre il film progredisce, Madonna diventa più coinvolta dalla musica della band e inizia a sviluppare la propria identità di artista.
